I think about that often. I wonder if it is because I was alive when that is what abortions were...

Yes! My friend was pregnant and her parents didn’t want her to have the baby, they contacted someone to fly her to New York where it was legal at the time for the abortion, the (70’s).I was supposed to meet her the next day for lunch, she never showed up. Days to weeks to months to years, what happened to Sarah? Fast forward years down the road, the Illinois bureau of Investigations called me wanting to meet. Long story short, they found her in a grave on a farm in Wisconsin. What happened was, they took her downtown Chicago to a motel and she died during the abortion. They drove her body to someone’s farm and buried her. They also found several other girl’s remains buried there also. The man’s name that killed her was Silas Fletcher😡 Sarah was a straight A student in high school, and got pregnant. Her parents were stuffy old principals of schools and that was a huge blemish to their name. I hope they rot in hell!

I know this is going to happen again! I know and people don’t bring this up and it truly upsets me even after all these years.

What a horrible thing to happen and I am so sorry that happened to your friend. I've read that it happened quite often then with back alley butchers. I am afraid also of that starting to happening again in many states since Roe v Wade was overturned. Hopefully, before it begins happening again and countless women die, laws will be changed once again giving women the freedom to make their own choices.

Your story is one of so many. And we Dd to that those who became sterilized or otherwise harmed because of the unsterilized conditions or challenges of no follow up care. The stories and reasons are endless. Add to this being a child who does not feel or believe there are others who will help her access resources or care Bout her story. This is why Planned Parenthood existed: to provide reproductive healthcare. And the real reason people have felt uneasy about them: they can say the words and talk about the things that many were taught ( or just don't know) to not talk about.
