Best wishes to Linden! I live in Canada, and am appalled at this turn of events. It’s unbelievable that religion and extreme right activism has come to this. If someone doesn’t approve of abortion, don’t have one. If you don’t approve of same sex marriage, don’t have one. Who are they to dictate their version of so-called morality and judgement on me? Why is this a legal question? It boggles my mind. I can’t get my head around it. I’ll be following this closely from afar. My thoughts are with you all. 🤬🤬🙏🙏
The frightening thing is, more than 70% of Americans support the right of a woman to choose......Yet again, a minority is dictating how citizens live their lives!!!
I will never understand your system of government. The fact that the Electoral College determines who the President is doesn’t make any sense. It means that 7 million people were effectively disenfranchised in the last election - Biden’s margin over Trump. The fact the Supreme Court decided the election in Bush v Gore was astounding. The fact that one must register their political affiliation up front allows the gerrymandering of districts so unbelievable as to be laughable, also disenfranchises thousands of people. It makes no sense to me. Mind you, our system up here doesn’t make much sense either. We don’t get to vote for our Prime Minister. We vote for the representative of one of the 3 main parties in our area. The leader of the particular party that gains the most seats in Parliament wins the big prize. One good thing, though, is that our voting season before any election is a matter of weeks, not the 2-4 years you have to endure down there. Our Provincial elections are coming up in early June, and the campaigns, signs, etc. were only allowed to start yesterday!😂
I share your sentiment entirely. I'm Australian, & our system is different yet again. We're half way through a six week election campaign & my head aches......They say we get the government we deserve!!

Finally learned how to read in 2016. Tracked the constitution from world libraries and historical sources and found that the Republicans law and order party was duplicitous politics and PETULANCE bending norms was their goal. Weaken the union's constitution NEVER IMPROVING OUR GOVERNMENT CONSTITUTIONALITY FROM THE WRECKAGE OF OUR CIVIL WAR BATTLES REINACTMENTS FOR TODAY'S WAR BATTLES BY EXTREMISTS PROPAGANDISTS CULT WELCOMED IN PUTIN’S MONEY.
How is private parts ever sound like law men should control unless or they need questioning for mens private parts in mischief since they are the rapist? Nonsensical.
Mary, On Saturday, May 7th, I will be 68 years alive. I have seen many things. This is one of the worst days I can remember. The worst was January 6th 2021. I was laying in a hospital bed with a very severe case of diverticulitis, which 2 months later led to heart failure, because of the infection. I don't know where we will go from here, I still have hope for our democratic republic, but my hope is being shaken, HARD. Thank you for what you do and for your words of encouragement, we need them so much right now.
Have FAITH in God, Steven. Believe in the POWER of PRAYER! Just remember, our lives have already been written, and only the Maker knows what's in store. Hope is not a thing we find somewhere, it's a choice we MAKE (determinedly), like kindness, because it's necessary, and it works. Hope powers us forward through the toughest fights.
