Preserving Old Grove Forest is an absolutely beautiful forest, and it would take hundreds of years to grow back those trees. Also, the Department of Forestry in California they do controlled burns on the forest floors to control fire hazards. And when there is a fire in any of the forests, the men from the Department of Forestry go out and replant all the trees that got burnt down.
California takes excellent care of their forests. I went to work as a volunteer to work with the Depart of Forestry in California to replant beautiful pine trees that had burnt down in northern California. I learned allot about caring for a forest from those men. I spent a week with them planting 260 Ponderosa Pine trees. I was taking an Environmental Class at the local Community College. Part of my Political Science Major.
If Republicans had their way this planet would burn. They don't care about the future of our world. Only about their stinking greed. I urge you to take a nice vacation and go camping and visit some of California's beautiful forests. The best places in the world to go camping. They also protect their wildlife.

THAT is the rub, for them - our precious wildlife comes before their oil drilling and mining to strip below California and other National Wonders (the Grand Canyon anyone?) for their minerals. For years I've wished someone would drop orange mango deep into a Redwood Forest - for a day, so he could have a CLUE about the height of a downed redwood tree (they're gigantic and impassable). He'd be a blubbering mess by the time they picked him up. He's also a DUNCE when it comes to our History and Geography: has zero conception of the relative size of Finland to our stunning National Forests, the dimwit.
