"a reminder that he can no longer be trusted to appear publicly in high-stress situations that require nuance and self-control without a minder." All he had to say, to diffuse it, was, "This is very important. Let's go to another room without cameras." The fact that he is incapable of handling himself in a dignified way should scare all of us. He has no self-control.

I did see a moment where Zelensky diffused Trump after his first outburst and I remember understanding from what I saw and could hear that Zelensky appeared to be waving off the discussion's trajectory with a statement suggesting we can talk about this elsewhere; and Trump agreed and completely calmed down; he nodded and looked down.

Then without missing a beat and after Zelensky and Trump seemed to reach a truce and an agreement to not argue in that setting, it was Vance who leaped in and assaulted Zelensky, which led to Zelensky's attempt to address Vance and in doing so mentioned that Russia is on their border and "from the beginning of the war..." but never got to finish his thought when his statement that Americans have an ocean between us and here unlike Ukraine we don't feel the threat but if Putin is not stopped someday we will, which was only descriptive not offensive.

Zelensky at times was assertive but never loud and shouting and disrespectful. However, it offended Trump who started screaming that Zelensky does not know "how we feel" and it went downhill from there as Zelensky was being screamed at by both Trump and Vance.

Just saying I don't think Zelensky is not prepared maybe even coached on how to handle a mad man; but the one thing he does not remain silent about is his agenda informed by his experience with Putin, and his mission to save his country and his people.

He gets his points in, respectfully without shouting; and his main point is clear that a cease fire alone will not stop Putin and there is a need for security guarantees. No nation knows Putin better than Ukraine and he was trying to be heard a cease fire alone will not stop the war, which was labelled as ungrateful and rude and reason enough to cancel the meeting followed by Trump retreating to another room and ordering his staff to tell Zelensky to leave. Zelensky argued against it wanting to sign that agreement on this visit and further discuss it. But he was literally thrown out. Unbelievable. I don't know how much it was planned but the one actor whose every move and word were chosen carefully to incite and trigger Trump was what was said by Vance.

Gives me pause to wonder who the Russian agent is. It is Trump or is it in fact Vance.

I think both of them are agents but Vance is far smarter. They're doing it right in front of our eyes, making people believe it just can't be. It can be.

I don't believe Vance is really any smarter than trump because some of the slop that comes out of his mouth is in anger and he really has less experience in politics than trump has.

I do think Vance is smarter but is really gauche, odd, and incapable of handling himself well. I'm not giving Vance much credit for intelligence when I say he's "far smarter" than Trump since I think Trump is a dimwit.
