It is interesting that people are now bringing up questions about the seriousness of Project 2025 when the news has gotten out as to how profoundly ruthless it is. It seems like they have gone into “damage control” but Democrats should not let up. Push the issue of the extreme authoritarianism that is represented by Project 2025 while remembering that the Supreme Court is obviously on board with this destruction of our entire system of government.

Biden has been a good president. Not many debate that. But we saw in the debate what could again happen at anytime in his campaign—or worse, a full blown stroke. That's been debunked many times over. Also, I have friends who are immigrants. That's not what they came gor. The cone "for a better life". Many still go home for weeks out of the year. Sone report they will work 10 years and go back and collect social security. Some are going back every few months, building a house right now. Nearly every immigrant I have spoken with says they thought were were all "rich". They want what we have.
I'm not saying they haven't had some hard times, but I do wonder why we don't help them right where they are.
As far as us supporting ourselves, yes, we'll always adjust. And we still have a good number that come. We need proper vetting. I was nearly killed by someone who tried to speed forward while in the inside turn lane. I was on the outside. They nearly got me, high speed, in the drivers door. I couldn't see the driver and won't s ay they are a new arrival, but we are seeing a lot of dangerous infractions and many deaths that have been caused by them. Then the drugs, the dealers, the taking over of the grocery store lots. We were a pretty quiet town. Nor anymore! Twice, last summer, I had drug crazed people-differebt ones, try to break in. One had a knife and taunted me at the window. These things cost us quite a bit. I'd rather do without the problems we are seeing. They need to learn how to live here.
Some of them do jobs that require high level of education which not enough Americans have. The immigrants fill that need. They are always legal though, sponsored by corporations. I don’t think republicans want to deport them.

We are seeing the largest number of homelessness in our own people than we've ever seen. Housing is hard to come by, the prices go up w supply and demand. Crime us up tremendously, including those that end up in death.
