Thankful to have a warrior for the Good in us, although I worry there’s less Good going around in these dark days of humanity. Thank you Dr. Mary Trump! I look forward to reading your correspondence.
Grateful you have chosen this path. Fighting for our Democracy is vital, and having people with your reach to help guide the conversation is much needed. I read Heather Cox Richardson and you via SubStack.
Thinking of hope and your mission and Amsterdam and so, the words of Anne Franke. Her belief that in all she lived through that people were still essentially good.
In her diary, Anne Frank famously wrote, “In spite of everything, I still believe people are good at heart.” Thoughts of that strength in Anne Franke; hidden behind that bookcase, to the attic secret stairs in Amsterdam; when she remained an optimist author defying the evil Nazis. Thank you John for reminding us all, as well.
Giving thanks for you on this Thanksgiving day. All of us joining you on this journey to who-knows-where feels like the logical next step. Shock and pain, we've endured aplenty. Time for healing now—and not just for ourselves, but for our community and our country. This will not be an easy journey, but I trust in the wisdom and the strength of you and the others here. Surely we can find a better way forward.
Love your photo of Sebastion and Linden - I am a cat lady so of course appreciate your handsome white fellow - and, are grey parrots really as intelligent as they say? I have read both of your books and have a huge amount of respect and admiration for the really important work you are doing via your writing talents. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.! My very best wishes to you and your loved ones, always.
Mary: Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 and I love both Linden and Sebastian. Now, I’m wondering about their thoughts in the picture! I bet they’d be fun! On a serious note, I’m honored to be on this trip of discovery with you and the group!
Sebastian: "Here's lookin' at you, kid!" Linden, (glances back),"Who you callin' kid? Do I look like a goat? Then again ... I AM the greatest of all time, Sebastian." (Dialogue provided by: Birds of a Feather Team: Blue Cockatoo & includes smiling chirp to the real G.O.A.T. Mary :)
Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving! Thank you for starting The Good in Us (always a great read!) and for all you are doing to fight for our democracy! Love the picture of Sebastian and Linden! Have a wonderful weekend!
Hi Mary, Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 Thank you for sharing that cool shot of Linden and Sebastian. Your ability to share your life and have the depth of talent to describe how dangerous your uncle is to our democracy is immeasurable. And now with this blog effort, the personal touch to interact with us is very special. We have so much to fear continuously from him and his lackeys in the coming years. It helps me to have your analysis of what is happening during the painful events that continue to happen daily. I hope you have a good and restful few days this holiday season.

Bravo Marian and here we go together, with community unity, indeed. :)

Yes I have had my grey for 34 years and they are very smart. Ironically my Luna kitty could be a clone of Mary's kitty.
Thank you Mary. Thanks for showing us that there is good in us.
