“But this is what happens when Democrats continue to appoint or nominate what they consider consensus candidates to appeal to a moderate wing of the Republican Party that does not exist.”

NAILED IT, Mary!

There already are Male M&M’s. The peanut M&M’s have “nuts”!

Or, ARE nuts!

Wellll... actually they used to have solid nuts you could bite into but now they’re just sort of creamed into the candy so who knows what’s in there.

Lovely picture together with a beautiful Haiku. Then, underneath, the face of Garland -- so ugly. And I believe that you have the face you deserve, once you're old 😉. Thank you for all the work you do.

Thank you for the video and transcript. I remain in favor for AG Garland to do what's important in this investigation. However, indicting Donald is still AG's decision, it has been quite a snail's pace. I just hope he doesn't choose the same decision for Donald in E Jean Carroll case, choosing to value the institution of the presidency over the victims of presidential misconduct. The warning from the US Product and Safety Commission was a fatal moment for Ronnie Jackson who is just sadly performative here in scaring and triggering his base. This Report recently along with gas meters earlier became an issue here in NY back when Bloomberg was Mayor. My managing agent took this service announcement seriously and upgraded most so far gas ranges, for there was a problem calibrating the pilot which emitted noxious odors that would trigger carbon monoxide detectors. Nick Adams would never make a game show let alone his foot in mouth statement about M&M's. For me I gladly share your sarcasm and any other jabs you choose to throw at this parody failure calling himself alpha male. I'm very excited for your new piece! So much more content! Thank you!

Merrick Garland is decidedly too Slow And Too Safe, He Needs a Little HiNRG, Maybe I'll Mix Him a High Impact Aerobics Tape. Mary, as a Progressive, I find we tend to shoot ourselves in the foot with these hot takes. Can you show me any evidence that Garland isn’t doing his job with Trump? Did you really want him to jump the gun with an indictment decision before the full Jan 6 report could be processed by DOJ? Or how about before or during these charged mid-term elections? He doesn’t owe you leaks or updates - that’s not how DOJ works. He doesn’t have to satisfy our 24/7 brains. From what I can see, he is being careful to do things by the book, respectfully, and thoroughly. He knows he needs a rock-solid case bc a jury will have Reps/Indies who are likely to feel uncomfortable being the first jury to put away an ex-POTUS going into his 77th year, no matter how horrible we know he is. Or how much we know he deserves jail.

But Mary Trump “hates” Garland.

Based on what?

Pundits on the left commonly berate SCJs as being conservatives with bias, until they rule in favor of an issue they were certain would be knocked down.

And then they are sensible, professional. Constitutional, decent, etc.

Maybe you just need to accept that you don’t control this process.

And you don’t get periodic reassurances.

And you don’t know if he will decide to indict, and why or why not.

Garland deserves the benefit of the doubt here.

Not that he will necessarily decide to indict.

But that he will do a professional, thorough, serious job.

And then based on factors we may guess, and others we may not be considering, he will make his decision.

Or at least special counsel will make a determination via Garland.

You don’t come across as professional or balanced, imo, when you let your emotions cloud your views like this.

A lot of us think Merrick Garland is Adequate Not Excellent in his job, he's slow he's safe but there will always be disagreements about the moves he's made since becoming AG, no big deal, let's listen to each others position rather than flip out when hearing an opinion people!

I’m not flipping out, I’m calling her out on a take I’m seeing far too often among Dem/Prog influencers. It doesn’t serve our cause - which is to gain more power and mainstream Progressive ideology/issues. We have to look for what unites us and furthers our cause. Being reflexive and righteous doesn’t serve our cause - imo. You’re welcome to yours.

Mary, You are so correct about Merrick Garland. I put out some tweets yesterday saying that with the long overdue investigation and indictment of Trump, the instigator of the largest insurrection at the Capitol of our democracy, the withholding by Garland of the news about the Biden secret documents for three months until after the mid-terms, and his silly appointment of a special counsel about Biden's papers, Merrick Garland should be pushed by Biden to resign, and Biden should nominate Jack Smith to become the AG since he can pull the strings and be the ultimate decider on your Uncle's indictment as he would be in control of all of DOJ. Garland must go, NOW

Hi Mary Trump,

“Nick Adams” is the name of a much-loved Ernest Hemingway character. Hem wrote a taciturn, deep-thinking, gentle giant alpha male thinly veiled as his own best self. Adams recurred in short stories throughout Hem’s life, getting wiser and more mellow ( yet lonely and existential ] with every story. ‘The Nick Adams Stories [ unabridged]’ is available on Amazon/Kindle. For a haunting aural listen to the stories read by Stacey Keach, most city libraries have the audio version.

For Hemingway fans these stories will rip your heart out!

Not sure if this Nick Adams is the character referenced in your post today, associated in some vague was with Donald.

Just saying...
