Hi Mary. Now a thought about something completely different. I just wonder what you and others think. What if The United States returned to being "isolationist' again. What if we minded our own country and let other countries mind their own. "Panglossian"? Maybe not, however The U.S. has done this in the past. There's wars everywhere in the world, always, and it's getting worse. Nothing that "we" do changes that. It's gonna happen with or without U.S. involvement. Look at Korea. A war that never ends, and we should have finished it when we got involved in the first place. Fact: Humanity loves wars an cruelty. Maybe we should just take care of The United States and leave others to their natural and ultimate destination. "Moral Arguments" Yes. "Proven Outcomes"? Always the same. Prayer and Good Wishes never stopped a bullet or a war. Neither does War Stop War. Best Wishes

There really is no actual news to attend to, nor to be in terror of- the MAGAcans and their Messiah have tested all messages out already . So they know which new lie, wrapped up in an outrage , and wound up in a conspiracy theory - is tried and tested and approved for distribution as morsel to feed any delusion.

Set it up along the buffet of delusions- right next to the Orange Kool-Aid . They will line up and gobble it down.

Thank You for the great Sunday's literary inspiration.

Sunday's literary reviews are one of my boosters. They are for me, a psychological moment of escape and rest (from the things of the past week) into of the new week (ahead).

How very strange; I love Spirited Away and introduced my two granddaughters to it; it was their favorite movie to watch when they came over. And I learned about Guillaume de Machaut - and hockets - in a course on music many years ago as a student at NYU and have Bardoux’s interpretations of his Doulç’d’Amor on my Apple playlist.

I am so plagued by begging letters from Democratic candidates-- that's what I think of when you talk about these stress-inducing polls, and the efforts we've got to make. It's all these penniless candidates, (plus the needy climate organizations. Because they're all depending on me. The candidates-- who rarely say boo that I'm aware of-- I am supposed to send them money 'so they can GET THEIR MESSAGE OUT.' As if I'm in office actually, and they're just some orphans somewhere.

"GINGERWENTWORTH PREFERS TRUMP? We've emailed you four times and you haven't replied"!

Why don't they get tough with their Republican pals? Why don't they laugh in the face of a man who says,, "If you want to know about me look at this book" and he points to the Bible. I can think of 25 polite replies to that.

AOC does fight back, with straightforward reasoning too, and has never asked me for a thing. Jamie Raskin of course, being sublime. The infant Maxwell Frost does also. Sheldon Whitehouse is great whenever he feels like it!

But, I think it was Ted Lieu who hinted they'd been advised not to tangle with the other party.

That you Chuck Schumer???? You seem useless, bo! Mary Trump, do you have any idea why these candidates have been so passive since the nutty Trumpists arrived, and yet theyr'e so willing to torture their voters in this lazy way?

Excuse me for this outburst.-- I was thinking you might have some facts or advice.

I took a break today and spent time with an old friend whom I haven’t seen in a long time. We talked for several hours and didn't discuss politics at all. 😘
