I will tell you exactly what the trouble is. Every morning when I turn on my computer, I go to yahoo, and before I look at my email, I look at the news. There is little to no coverage at all of President Biden, positive or negative. Most of what there is on President Biden is that he is behind In the polls, and or he is struggling to get his message out.
3/4 or more of all the headlines on yahoo news are about Trump. Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, ad nauseam.
If you really want to understand my disheartenment, read 2 or 3 of these articles every day - doesn’t matter if they’re about Biden or about Trump - then read the comments. By far, the overwhelming majority trashes Biden. Every now and then you get a good day when more people are trashing Trump than are trashing Biden. Even more rare is to see a comment praising President Biden.
If this is an accurate indication of the national mood, we are screwed.
I know, much of the Biden bashing will come from trolls, but even so, they’ll have some influence on less educated voters. Nearly every day, there are remarks that President Biden does not know where he is, or other insistence that he suffers from dementia and someone else is running the country.
Since I see so little Biden-positive coverage anywhere, there is little for me to refer to when I want to argue with these morons, or otherwise discuss the good in our President. And I REALLY want to discuss the good in our president!
I know, don’t go there. Stay off yahoo. But other outlets provide little coverage of our president, good, bad or indifferent.
We cannot count on trump getting convicted. Whichever way his legal troubles go, we MUST destroy him at the ballot box this November. How are we supposed to do that if nobody knows how great President Biden is?
I mean, sure, I’d actively support something my cat deposited in his litter box as a far, FAR better president than Trump, and you probably would too, but a lot of voters seem tired of all this negativity, and/or they just don’t believe that trump actually will become dictator and lock most of us up.
Btw, one person did suggest a substack re what President Biden does each day. That looks like a good place to start, where I’d get lists of items to research in depth elsewhere. I haven’t done much with that yet, but I will.
