Officer Eugene Goodman. Could there be a more appropriate name for what he did to stop your uncle from slaughtering Congress and his lickspittle Vice President who for once didn't take orders and nearly paid for it with his life?
Sebastian & Blue cock-a-too: (Birds of a Feather FLOCK PARTY 2022)-- approve this nomination of our dearly beloved Dr. Mary Trump, by the initials E. Jean. Tweets galore.
Paula, today you brought me profound joy, Mary's plan is communication chocolate. To bring our good in us to birds of a feather; flocking together -- just found this story ... may I please share it with you, Paula?
Here goes: *"There is a great old child’s story, “It could always be worse”, a story where one family complained to their Rabbi how crowded they are, how miserable they are, always fighting. The Rabbi said “bring a chicken into your house”, and after much protest they did. They returned to say “we have all the same problems- only now with feathers in the soup”! So he replied “ bring in your goat” and they did. The family soon returned with the same complaints, but now with added bruises from the goat. Slowly the Rabbi worked through all their farm animals until it was a crowded cacophonous chaos. Now the Rabbi said “take out all the animals”- and they came back in bliss, so grateful for all the room, the calm, peace, and resource. It could always be worse. The world has played this on us several times over the last few years—and is doing so again now. But it could always be even worse. For a minute think about your situation with your version of all the barnyard animals--with all the things that could go wrong-- but may not be at this very moment. And start there. Find new gratitude... find joy in what is, find gratitude for what matters. And get the horse out of the kitchen..." *We'moon Newletter (12/21)

Lorne Michaels - for doing the right thing with the last SNL of the year and protecting his cast and crew and recognizing that SNL is a touchstone for so many of us … so when we tuned in on Saturday night to see that they kept the live audience home and had just a handful of amazing people put on a show with good humor and kindness but also make a very pointed statement that THIS IS INCREDIBLY SERIOUS and pretending like everything is OK and normal and safe is not going to get us out of constant pandemic crisis. Only responsible public health mitigation efforts will. Way to go Lorne. Putting people ahead of profits. Same which cannot be said of the powers that be at the NFL.
My Good Guy (Girl) is US District Court Judge Tanya Chutken who is overseeing many of the insurrectionist cases and the Trump Archives case. While I like the Sakler vote, Amy is covering a mountain of cases and standing for democracy. Judge Chutken, check her out!
Good guy of the week is the young man who came to my aid yesterday morning when I sprained my ankle stepping off a porch at an air B&B. At first glance he looked like an insurrectionist. I was so very wrong. He was a gentle man who not only helped me up, but he cleaned my car after I hobbled back upstairs. I believe he was a vet and as a VA nurse I was glad, later, that I was able to thank him.
Agreed. Her father was evil personified and I didn't agree even with " real Republicans" who have always been careful to prop up patriarchy, but her question about naming the real top crime and who's responsible nailed it. And it's got to be said: " When Joe Manchin did his " that's a NO" on Fox NOS, Speaker Pelosi came on like a Steel Magnolia instead of flipping out like everyone else. These two play the long game. And agree about Letitia and Tamara and all the women judges who carry on in RBG's tradition.
Can't help wishing we had a better term than "Guy" tho. Like Justice, language matters.
I love that you are staring this Good Guy of the Week thing here! And I love that you post good positive vibes about art and music as well! THANK YOU! Wow. Jamie Raskin has to be the Good Guy of the Week, maybe for past three years, actually.
Mary I've also fought Monsanto@Bayer for 6 years over my husband's death as @Warrior_Widow on Twitter, sadly and in character, his highness, your uncle told Monsanto, "Don't worry, I've got your back"... I I think I have ulcers over that comment. No reflection on you, the one Good person in that Clan.

I take the floor, I seize the microphone, I raise my voice, and I nominate a woman who is UNSTOPPABLE!
Her initials are Mary Trump.
Love you, E. Jean!

Judge Tanya S. Chutkan, United States District Court for the District of Columbia. She is holding the insurrectionists accountable!!

It's always good when our assumptions are challenged.
Yes, and humbling too.
All of America's teachers.
Awwww made me cry. Teacher Blue Cock-a-too (Friend of Sebastian, M.Ed ;)
OMG, Cap is an ADORABLE addition to your other adorable 'guys!'
And my suggestion: Stacey Abrams
Betty White, who’s been good for 100 years.
I pick is Jen Psaki no explanation needed
Liz Cheney. She is an absolute profile in courage on the Jan 6 committee. I long for those normal days when I could happily despise all Cheneys 😜

My vote for GGOTW is Ilhan Omar for calling out Joe Manchin on his BS!
