Project 2025 needs more public exposure. Use trump's image and voice repeating over and over what he wants to do on Day One. It will reach the independents and the rest of the fence-sitters if democracy is worth saving. Everyone freedoms are at stake now.

Project 2025 is and has always been the Republican party’s dream of what to do to remove all public assistance programs from Americans. That includes Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Snap, Obama Care, and you name it.

If it helps ordinary or people less than them, they want to get rid of it. Now about that tax give away to the rich, that must not sunset. While they are at it, strip all the protections that government employees have to make them immune to the whims of changing administrations.

What could go wrong could be catastrophic given the latest “supreme” ruling that presidents are above the law?

I've gotten so many high-fives wearing this anti-Trump shirt and people asking where to get it.

I got it from here 👇

What also needs more exposure is that the media (which is in collective cognitive decline) pushes narratives; even major papers like the NYT and WaPo push false narratives at times.

If the media were more self-aware, they’d publish an article on the fact that Hillary Clinton was claimed to have Parkinson’s and various other neuro-degenerative diseases and various other health issues.

That, along with constant articles on her emails (which included many recipes! I actually read through them) was what helped, in part, get Trump elected.

The corporate media was complicit then, and is now. Many of the owners are Trump donors.

I think his mind has aged. And from what I'm hearing he's a screamer.. acting out..a brat. He grew up in Glendale, So. Cal. A right wing community. His father was a John Bircher... extreme right wing. He love stirring things and hates when people aren't in front of him applauding. Hates when people are not focused on him. I think we should give him more of what he hates and focus on Biden, the Dems and life affirming change. Focus and constantly commenting on Trump is robbing us of what we could be doing to take America to the next level.

Expand full comment

Too bad he has America's youth in his hip pocket. I should clarify; white boys raised on video games, neglected, unloved, iin an outrageous inflationary economy where increased per hr wages still fall far short of meeting financial responsibillities. Every single Democrat including undecided must form a wall to repel the devastation and destruction of America by a Trump occupation and dictatorship.

Expand full comment

I don't believe in absolutes, or generalizing when speaking about others.. I know a large number of Gen Z and millennials who are are not always on video games. They are loved, and supported. Smart. Some of them are working in the alternative energy field. Many are eco activists. They are NOT followers of Trump! In fact, they made a public announcement that they were going to be active in the eco movement, taking a stand for change. The press is often misleading. Pumping out sensationalism. You need to check your sources. Who finances the papers you read. What are those owners political affiliations. My favorite news source, among others, is The Guardian. I began reading it after a famous eco activist, a feminist and best selling American author published an article with them. We're FB friends. The Guardian is a. publication that's out of London, but has numerous award winning American reporters writing for them. Yes, there are uneducated youth in the States, whose parents don't believe in education. I believe their numbers are growing. Their parents aren't helping. And YES, Trump is a threat. He's not that educated vis a vis what is happening. According to him climate change is a hoax. He's tapped into Americans who, for the most part are uneducated and angry. I'm in touch with a long time friend who worked at the highest levels of the US govt. When he finally left, he began writing books. He has a blog. we both read The Guardian. It's a British paper that reports on the US. The NY Times has some very good, honest writers who are NOT writing sensationalism. Vox.com is another. Ezra Klein writes for them. He's amazing! Nicolas Kristoff is another journalist. His wife is also a writer. They're well traveled and have a non profit for women and children.

Rebecca Solnit is someone to read. Google her. A feminist who's written best selling books and a climate change activist. Bill McKibben the famous eco activist is someone to read. Google their names and find links to their writing. Another is Robert Reich, an award winning journalist. Not into sensationalism! None of the above are. Google and you'll lead them to news sources that can be trusted. Gen Z is the biggest group of young people coming of age in the next couple of months. They announced their intention to work on Climate Change. Many of the news outlets are publishing b.s. I'm not saying that many young people are suffering. They are as afraid as their parents are.

He has always been like that but men who were already nasty young will most likely get nastier and combine that with dementia or alzheimer's in the later stages...yikes.

I am sure health care workers- doctors, nurses , retirement home workers and the wives of such men could write a book on that.

You know Melania already has her escape hatch planned. Has she not squeezed enough money from him yet? Below her to even go to the store to buy the Depends.

I think most women could write all about senior men. Not all of them are troublesome. Some are the real thing. Caring, liberals. Great grandpas. But there’s other energy at work in these times. The Women’s March on WA surprised a lot of men and frankly, I believe a lot of the violence we today from men is due to their lingering feeling a loss of power. They won’t admit it, don’t undertand the intricacies of what they’re feeling. But for thousands of years In Mongolia, there were women warriors.. in fact there are stll women who hunt on horseback with eagles. But in the West men tend to be in charge. Or are making an effort to hang on to what was. Granted that’s all changing with the younger generations, for which I’ve very grateful.

Lauren, that is part of that memory problem too. In addition to forgetting what it was like 4+ years ago, people can't remember WWII and how many people died to stop an insane fascist whose toddler instincts wanted him to get everything he could get, and at the same time, destroying everyone he thought had done him (or someone) harm. And, like Trump, Hitler surrounded himself with sycophants who gained his trust and were able to do whatever they wanted as long as it was to do harm to everyone considered enemies and that was a whole lot of people. Stalin and Mao were also men people have forgotten, men who killed nearly incessantly because some people "just need killing" as Lt. Gov. Robinson of NC just informed folks. We certainly have permitted the crazies to get power in this country and unless we vote them all out, we are in serious trouble.

I assume that Democrats who are saying "what about Biden?" are expressing concern that he will lose, not that they are considering not voting for him if he runs. The way to get Democrats to stop worrying that he will lose and to stop saying "what about Biden?" is for him to step down, preferably now, thereby making Harris the incumbent president. That will remove the attention from Biden -- and from Trump -- as the media will focus on the Democrats.

Expand full comment

If democrats are worried about Biden losing, they need to pay more attention to what he is doing and what he has done. IMO. Starting off with a new candidate this late in the game is, to me, suicidal, a sure fire path to losing. What democrats need is unity, and willingness to do whatever it takes to vote Blue. Instead of asking Biden to step down it is much better to start telling people what Trump really is, why he is dangerous and ask people to vote for the Democratic nominee no matter who it is. So I'll stick with Joe, and do a lot of sending energy to the universe that somehow we can redeem this.

I'm sorry, but you don't know that he can do the job for the next four years. He couldn't do the job at the debate, and, in the ordinary course of events, he will get worse during the next four years. But that's not why I want him to step down, as I'd vote for him over Trump if he were dead. I want him to step down because I think that another Democrat would excite people and likely have a better chance of winning.

You can’t be serious. He did a great job for 3.5 years and you judge him based on 90 minutes of a debate where moderators had no control over the verbal assault of lies by Trump? It is dangerous to act based on knee jerk reactions and lies.

He did not have a good debate but Trump was just as bad spewing all of his lies and was not called out by the moderaters. And then George Stephanopoulus' interview was beyond insane. Stupid questions that he was required to say to get Biden to leave. No respect for NYT, WaPo, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN. Most Americans read far below even a 12th grade level, cannot name their congressman, cannot name the three branches of government, and do not understand the basics of civics. Yet I can guarantee many of them can quote the most recent Taylor Swift song verbatim. When a society reaches a stage of apathy and decadence the civilization declines. We are at this stage. Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times. Thus is the cycle. The most compelling evidence of cognitive decline are the tens of millions of abject morons who support your retarded fucking uncle. They admire him precisely for his stupidity, as it is a mirror. Jason Scott you are correct, but you blame the wrong ppl.

It starts and ends in our 3 government institutions.

Executive, Legislative, and the Judiciary. They control this country.

The Rule of Law is supposed to be fair and balanced and checked by the people.

Citizens United is the Wealthy superpacs that controls our Congress at this time.

End Citizens United, bring back fair elections.

Drop the chip off your shoulder, you don't have to be defensive, or rude you made your point.

We are all Americans who believe in our Democracy!

Why should we argue with each other, the Wealthy are high fiving their win to divide us. This race war on Americans is utter baloney.

I'm old and I'm not hating on my american people. Dude, it's so idiotic.

I read daily, the last 9 years, I am not going easy. The fight for Democracy is not an easy one with so much propaganda swirling around us.

Seek out the truths always.

I do.

Have a good evening.

Taylor Swift is a beautiful princess, and if she chooses she can save the republic. I find her music goes in one ear and out the other, but then I prefer Devi

She makes huge money doing what she does, but she gives a lot of money to charity. That is the hallmark of a decent person, So while I don't consider her special for her music and hardly know what she sings, I do admire her generosity & conscious help to those without! Thank you Taylor!

Swooft is in love with Kelce. Her values are in decline just as every other Republican. Or did she come out again Butker’s infamous speech?!

Expand full comment

What? There is nothing wrong with her values and it so happens Travis Kelce leans left as does his family, I won't speak for Patrick Mahomes. I know they defended their stupid teammate. I'm pretty sure they don't agree with him; I have a good idea how they feel about the significant others.

Thank you Jason. Well spoken. This country is the dumbest place I’ve ever lived. Wish I’d stayed in Britain. I can’t help but feel if America had LOST the revolutionary war, we might’ve been better off. (At least better educated.)

Expand full comment

You would be better educated. I’m in Canada where the king remained and we are an educated country, for sure. We definitely remember the four years of Trump and are stuck in perpetual anxiety about the US.

Expand full comment

Unfortunately, Canada has its own mini-Trump lurking in the limelight. He’d do what he can to reduce education and longevity in order to pay the rich. He’s nothing but a sloganeer, stomping for corporations.

You’re absolutely correct. And as a result our Trudeau is suffering a similar knee jerk reaction that Biden is…calls for his resignation. It’s got to be a global initiative.

I agree with you. Sadly, education is not a priority in the US. My hope is that the Biden administration can change it. And as far as your perpetual anxiety, I have already asked my doctor to up my dose of the anxiety medication until after the election. 🙄

Good insight Billsburg! The moral decline, the apathy, the bias medias spouting what they want Americans to believe instead of just communicating the facts, it’s all contributed to where we are as a nation today, and what is unfolding tomorrow. This is the silence before the storm. I hope to God the Biden Administration is prepared & ready when Civil War breaks out.

The Christian Nationalist movement needs Trump to get their programs in place so their judges have protected them as far as they can. When they are finished with him, they will just find some other charismatic charlatan.

As a Wisconsinite, I can tell you that any poll saying he’s ahead is pure nonsense. And for the most part, we don’t want him or the RNC anywhere near this state. Many of us here are working very diligently to get the word out about Trump, SCOTUS, Project 2025, etc. We finally got a liberal majority in the Supreme Court, and we’re just getting started!! 💙🌊

Mary, I was really pleased today when Nicolle Wallace started her show off talking to Michael Cohen, who was his usual articulate, insistent self. He was talking about what your uncle did to him and how he will do that to a very long list of others if given the opportunity. It was such a relief to hear about what I thought needed saying, instead of the nonsense about Biden having Parkinson's disease, and Biden being the reason for the neurologist who showed up at the White House 8 times in the last year. I had also watched last night's edition of The Last Word, and it was equally good in talking about the things that matter.

For the record, when you undergo severe trauma, you don't forget it. Instead, you repress it, so it stays in your brain and continues to affect the way you live, even if you don't remember the trauma. I know this from my life experience. I'm hoping that people who were traumatized by your uncle can hear the good stuff out there, the truth, and let it be their guide.
