And his security clearances need to be REVOKED!!!

Expand full comment

Why does he have security clearances?

Expand full comment

What agency confers these?

He owns Space X. He launches most of our military satellites. He launches a lot of our scientific satellites.

Sounds like a conflict of interest, but I'm not an attorney.

It is a conflict of interest on multiple fronts: owning SpaceX - and making money off of military, science, and personal interests like his Starlink satellite program - is just part of it. The other part is that he profits off of his propaganda machine known as X. Thankfully, other countries are clamping down on X, and his SpaceX contracts are starting to get scrutinized by our government. Even if the TFG loses this election, Musk could still reap in obscene amounts of money off the government.

I guess itтАЩs unavoidableтАж

Some of these are conferred upon him by the military through the new branch known as Space Force. Unfortunately, it sounds like he's the sole owner of SpaceX which means he needs the clearances to make sure his company makes the launches. He may be creating a monopoly by launching private things like Starlink as well as scientific satellites and military ones which may be reason for the DOJ to step in to invoke the Sherman Act and have his company broken up where his company gets certain contracts and the other companies handle the others.

Donald and his bankroller Schmukz by now both would have had their citizenships revoked for crimes against the state If the justice system had actually worked. Simple math says that if big man took $ 100 billion of his stash and showered it upon 100 million voters, each person would get $1000 per their vote. The power of money is gargantuan in opposition to the common good. We need to vote in the Dem ticket

total ballot and then deal with the reprisals from the reactionaries as fast as they are flung.

Schmukz doesn't have a scientific thought in his big head, else he wouldn't put down real scientists about climate disaster and public safety. Besides, the decrepit contraptions that he unleashes on the world are "unsafe at any speed".

I forget if it was Tesla or SpaceX, a while back when he bought Twitter someone who worked at one of the two did some interviews. They said the only reason the company didn't go under when he bought it out from under the founders was that management had a system to avoid implementing his insane ideas. The people at Twitter didn't realize that was needed.

Thank you, RuthKub. Here's a prime example of how big money, in this instance from Musk's windfall profit from PayPal, can ruin a promising company by malfeasance from an unschooled and manipulative firebrand. Musk is way overrated as a businessman, and it shows in the highly erratic performances of his enterprises.

How can we get money out of politics?! And good question Sharon. Aren't there any regs about campaign donations? Or do these clowns just ignore them? I'm frantic with worry that idiots with $$ are manipulating and buying our elections/candidates. If the $$ were regulated, and the electoral college was no longer active, I would feel confident in Harris/Walz and our democracy.

Expand full comment

According to one search, the FEC enforces the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 with a campaign donation cap of$3,300. So I am not sure how someone can donate millions.

Thank you Sharon. Obviously they are getting around any such limits. As Jeff says below, Citizens United really opened the flood gates. ЁЯШнЁЯШб

Citizen's United pretty much gutted that.
