I cannot believe the fate of the entire fucking nation is in the hands of this asshole. I don't want to have to worry about this shit anymore. How is it so hard for so many Americans to be kind, decent people and vote for the same? The biggest loss in all of this is my faith in the inherent goodness of the average American. Even if he loses again, I will never be getting that one back again.

And I can’t believe that literally half of our country thinks this piece of shit deserves to be president. How have we fallen so incredibly far into cult of personality? I’ve always had a low opinion of humanity in general, this sinks it even lower. Humanity is a virus and needs to go, we don’t deserve the gift of dominant species. Time to give cats a chance, that is if they haven’t already been running this shit show from behind the scenes anyway, planning our well deserved demise. 😼

Hear hear. My cat is sleeping in my lap as we speak. I go out and bust my ass 50 hours a week making greedy capitalists richer so I can barely afford a one bedroom apartment and come home and play with her and give her the best life possible. Housecats have shit figured out, all they do is sleep, play, and eat. We could learn a lot from them.

I feel as though I have been watching an “ALL Three Stooges” channel constantly for months, perhaps years.

But the Three Stooges were a vaudeville act that managed to survive into cinema and television. By all accounts, their first love was slapstick entertainment, which they enjoyed delivering. Biographies show that Moishe Horvitz (Moe Howard) was the kindest and most decent person, not the meanie he portrayed.

We were never expected to take it all seriously. The pretended assaults never caused harm.

Now we have a pair of Stooges who are most serious. They would drive tens of millions of humans into the wasteland to die, eclipsing the “little Holocaust” that took the European cousins Horvath up the chimneys.

The Stooges were derided for their mean humor. A half century later, we speak of genocide in calm, practical terms.

CS Lewis:

We

live in the Managerial Age, in a world of "Admin." The greatest evil is not now done in those sordid "dens of crime" that Dickens loved to paint. It is not done even in concentration camps and labour camps. In those we see its final result. But it is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voices. Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the office of a thoroughly nasty business concern."

And our Vice-Presidential candidate is Chairman of the Board, baby.

Historically humanity has been susceptible at times to mass hypnotic influence, by certain types of evil individuals with highly mesmerizing oratorical powers. Unsettling societal circumstances, often from multiple circumstances and situations from within and outside the system contribute to unrest exacerbating divisions in the social system. Many citizens react with fear, anger and chaos multiply, while leaders vie for control of power disagreeing on issues and stances on solutions.

Temptations are many, for frightened people tend to be more susceptible, by being told what they want to hear. Smarmy salesman type speakers are highly persuasive, to many good, but terrified people, who aren’t even ready yet to admit to themselves yet, how scared they really are. They’re in denial, a powerful internal inner blockage from reality, it doesn’t make them “bad,” it’s unconscious. Very human, at times we all do it. Yes it’s dangerous now.

Times such as these are always a true test of the true character of leadership, and inner fibre of a society. At the core is there honesty, integrity, truth in the leaders? Are they able and most importantly willing to and does admit errors? Reverse the mistake, that is a test and sign of a true leader, to be trusted.

We might ask how hard was it for Germans - who were, like most trying to do their jobs and raise their families, kind, decent people - to support Hitler in the 1930s.

The answer is that Hitler was promising all kinds of things, had a solid following - of the worst sort of Germans - and Germans had in inherent faith and desire in themselves to control their own land.

Donald Trump is following the exact same playbook. He promises glory - but of course cannot deliver, and instead would bring chaos and destruction - and is playing all Americans, especially his most devoted followers, for saps.

I agree. He has done irreparable harm to this country's unity, or whatever was left of it after other previously contested elections. Additionally, his glaring narcissism should serve as a huge red flag as to how low he will go to toady himself and seek the approval of dictators and others with the absolute power that he craves, hence his cozying up to Putin, who exudes, in his mind, the bravado and power that he wants others to see in himself.

His childish name-calling seemed to be aimed toward attracting the "poorly educated" whom he made a point of saying he "loves". By making a point of mentioning them specifically, he was actually insulting them. He knew, though, that he could win over a population of people who feel disenfranchised by a country which places a high value on professional-level jobs, like his, taken up by college-educated people, like he is, and by mocking those in his administration who had high level, high paying positions.

His firing people at will demonstrated his assumed power as an extension of his CEO position in his "The Apprentice" TV show. In contrast, by seeming to put himself on the level of average, ordinary people, he made them feel more important and included in his inner circle. They viewed his bravado domestically and internationally as demonstrating the leadership skills to defend us against our adversaries. Instead of viewing his cozy relationship with dictators as treasonous, they viewed it as maintaining peace with no new wars even though he freed 5,000 Taliban members who then infiltrated Afghanistan, yet they criticize Biden for actions in the botched withdrawal of troops. Trump set that up to fail.

According to the "Times-Republican" regarding Biden's troop withdrawal, "This colossal failure of leadership cost the lives of 13 brave American servicemembers, portrayed weakness on the global stage, and left more than $7 billion in U.S. military equipment behind, which has since fallen into the hands of the Taliban. The entire operation was an embarrassment and is a stain on the already poor record of the Biden-Harris administration."

However, according to factcheck.org, "The Trump administration in February 2020 negotiated a withdrawal agreement with the Taliban that excluded the Afghan government, freed 5,000 imprisoned Taliban soldiers and set a date certain of May 1, 2021, for the final withdrawal.

And the Trump administration kept to the pact, reducing U.S. troop levels from about 13,000 to 2,500, even though the Taliban continued to attack Afghan government forces and welcomed al-Qaeda terrorists into the Taliban leadership."

This is why his supporters don't like to fact check what they hear and hate those who do.

But you know, they will claim that the system was hacked, and votes intended for Trump automatically went to Biden with no evidence of the claim. Trump is desperate, and desperate people do desperate things. Expect more of what happened in 2020.

Traitor is defined as: one who betrays another's trust or is false to an obligation or duty.

TFG fits this description to a T. As POTUS he took an oath to protect and defend The Constitution of the United States. That is being a traitor.

The punishment for treason in the United States is death or a minimum of five years in prison, a fine of at least $10,000, and a lifetime bar from holding any federal office:

Why is he running for public office at this time? Can republicans read? Do they understand our laws?? I realize my comments ate moot, but seriously, why is he allowed to run for public office? Why isn’t he in prison????

Unfortunately the founding fathers that wrote the Constitution, never dreamed this would happen and didn't include something like that.

Expand full comment

The Heritage Foundation, through Project 2025, has requirements out the wazoo for qualifying to be a Trump lackey.

To qualify to be President of the United States, the Constitution has only two.

It's harder to adopt a cat than it is to become President.

A failure of imagination on the part of our Founding Fathers had led us to this.

Expand full comment

The Founding Fathers were the oligarchy. After Europeans invaded this country - after invading Africa - they came here. They were the oligarchy. The Cinstitustion was written to keep them in power. They fought democracy. the House of Representatives had no power. It was created to give the commoner the thought they were participating in the government. The Senate was made up of the oligarchy. They picked, not the people, who was to be in the Senate...They believed the commoner did not have the knowledge nor ability to know what was best. Only the rich did.

Does this sound familiar. Just read 2024 WEF agenda. The same thing. They've decided they are to own everything, control everything, incl us. This is where the "you will have nothing but be happy" came from: The New World OrderThe Great Reset.

Yes, in any other upper-level position, in the private sector, behavior such as his would have been grounds for immediate dismissal with no severance pay and extended benefits. People may even be barred from communicating with him so that he couldn't use them to retaliate. He would be lucky if he didn't get sued if something bad happened to the country as a result of his actions after dismissal.

Prayer never hurts, as long as it’s a positive vibration sent into the atmosphere is my feelings about these things. I have a long time friend who always considered herself an atheist. Yet she has always had a compassion, kindness, empathy and sense of respect, sensitivity, understanding, reverence for nature, that seemed to me more spiritual than many religious people.

I shared this with her one day, with the clarity I’d no agenda nor interest in “convincing” her she needed to find a religion, mine or anyone. She was appreciative of my acceptance and viewpoint, as she’d often felt so herself, surprised to hear this from an active Christian. She was interested in how I came to feel as my feelings were rare in her experience. My parents had been in a religious cult, my friends all went to Sunday school and I wanted to go too. So I asked my classmates where they went to church, and lived near us. and asked they could ask their parents if I could go with them, too. One said yes.

My mom had been the one who told me she wanted to go, and their “group” encouraged it. My dad wouldn’t go, “he knew more than all the minister & priests, wouldn’t waste time on their blather.” In the ‘50’s mom didn’t drive yet, a bus stopped near by. So I told my mom, I had a ride to Sunday School, could I go? Reminded her she kept telling me their group said, “ and children should go to Sunday School, now I can. Mom said, Yes, you can go! I’d been praying, “If You want me to go, help me find a way”

good vibes or …. over the years I’ve experienced more than a few miracles since.

That part about using the Hatch Act, sealed the deal. He was acting in a private capacity and that, I feel, is what nailed this case so beautifully. Very damning, indeed.

Of course the American people deserve to know what’s happening with this case, It’s us vs Donald Trump. The Constitution allows a speedy trial for defendant. What about the victim? One needs to ask “Since Trump says he’s innocent we should ask why he didn’t demand a speedy trial? Because we all know why.
