I cried and laughed so much last night. All by myself in front of a computer screen. I'm 69 and I have never ever experienced anything like this. 2008 comes closest but this....this is another magnitude of being deeply moved by history-making in progress.
I was all by myself in front of my tv, crying and laughing too. What an emotional high it was. IтАЩm not sure it can get any better than last night, but IтАЩm tuning in to watch all of it.
Me too!Last night was awesome for day1 of the convention!Hillary was on fire! All of the speeches were fantastic,I especially loved Jamie Raskins speech where he reminded JD Vance the reason the VP on the GOP was open was because Trump tried to kill the last one! I couldnтАЩt stop laughing!
It was an emotional night but it wasn't all a "high" for me. I don't imagine I was the only person who looked at Hillary and grieved for what could have been. Absent the Electoral College, she would have been named President of the U.S. So some of my tears were tears of grief but isn't that the way life is? Sorrow and joy, defeat and victory...on and on.
And the comparisons between the States' roll call routine at the Republican convention was hilarious. Most of the Republicans acted as if they were at a WAKE! I could not stop laughing; then switched over to that Dems DJ and had even more fun!

Or nursing, snow-plowing, repairing electrical lines after an ice storm, etc. And especially trying to read kids in "ghetto" schools how to read! The most vital skill of all!
Define your use of ghetto...depending on your definition...(a trailer-park, a reservation, rural areas, inner-city, mid-town, downtown, skid-row) because let's be clear...you can find "illiterate" folks anywhere...even in Beverly HillsЁЯдФ
Neighborhood taverns and small supper clubs in rural areas are great places to see, hear and contribute to some realistic commentators about the "World"; from local politics to the damn fool antics of demented dictators all over the world. In Wisconsin, we usually prefer Old-Fashioneds; but Manhattan are also acceptable. Personally, I enjoy a good Riesling wine!
AOC brought me to tears, I was so moved!

Me too. Tim Walz cried enough for two people, love that he is a softy.
And his wife, too! She never stopped being choked up!

Totally agree. So Dems, take this to the next level, embrace vocational education.

After her presentation, a commentator mentioned how hard and long she has truly
Worked at learning how to be an efficient and effective Congressional Rep! Good for her! I've known a few other bartenders like her!
