I agree with President Biden. I watched several Sunday shows today. Seems like they didn’t even comment on how great the President’s speech was. They only talked about the one sentence. Good grief media- You are helping the crazy right wing media.

I agree with President Biden that Putin cannot stay in power. I wish the White House stood by his comments instead of retracting them.

As I was reading President Biden's speech I couldn't help but juxtapose 45 in my mind and how utterly incapable they are of giving such a speech because...well, there is not one ounce of admirable character in that person. How anyone, let alone one who calls themselves "christian" could possibly believe that a twice-impeached, disgraced president, a narcissistic "businessman," could ever inspire liberty and freedom for all, is beyond me. And yet, all the far-right media outlets that you have outlined as having huge popularity, are largely viewed/listened to by "christians." Ugh.

"She also wrote that Biden needs to give a similar speech here in America that addresses our own problems with autocracy, a sentiment with which I agree.)

The last line of the speech, however, is what most of the mainstream media latched onto: “For God's sake, this man cannot remain in power.” The blowback against those nine words was swift and accomplished two things: one, it overshadowed the importance of the speech as a whole and two, it ignored the truth of the statement itself."

SO.VERY.TRUE.

You'd think the media would finally catch on to their responsibility toward democracy, but no, making their own corporate voices the loudest in a Greek chorus is more important...make money more important than strengthening and saving democracy.

Meanwhile, Ginny and Clarence must be QUESTIONED: What DID he know, and WHEN?. HE needs a vacay from Supremes until this is cleared up. And if she has a right to her individual life, then she is also legally accountable as an individual. NO ONE is above the law. JUSTICE MATTERS!

The president made a speech that will be remembered for hundreds of years. Several statements vie with those by FDR. Moving, intelligent & inspiring. I'm proud he is our President. He was meant to be here now.

"It will not be easy," said President Biden.

These are the most important words for me to remember.

I agree with Helen. MSM's hair-on-fire reaction to Biden's "for God's sake" comment totally misses the point of the rest of his extraordinary speech. And I agree he he needs to make a similar one here at home. I saw over the weekend that an IPSOS poll reflected public dissatisfaction with the way he has handled the war. Who are these people, anyway, and what would they have done differently? I think he has done a superb job of uniting our allies and strengthening NATO, letting other leaders take forward positions instead of making it all about himself. TFG could never have delivered such a stirring speech, or handled the situation in such a statesman-like manner.
