Facebook can be useful. I use it for family and friends and follow pages I like, mainly rescue groups. My page and info is only visible to friends and family. My posts are not visible to anyone unless I specifically make it so. There is no other way, so far, that allows such an easy way to stay in touch.

I get it Cindy, but I sure wish there was some oversight. My wife is exactly like you and only keeps up with friends and co-workers, plus she has a page for the not-for-profit group she operates. Facebook would be harmless if all purposes were benign and there were no evil players. The sad fact is that disinformation and lies flow like mighty rivers on Facebook, while truth and reason stagnate like small ponds.
