FACEBOOK
I’m not on Facebook so if you have any recommendations for good accounts to follow let us know. I kind of wish everybody would cancel their Facebook accounts but that would leave the field wide open to the other side—which is clearly dominating anyway. Unless and until Congress puts in place meaningful regulations (or gets rid of Facebook altogether), I think the best we can do is use Facebook to our advantage—that includes using Facebook ads—but it’s going to take a massive and concerted effort because the algorithms are so stacked against us.
Here are the 70 daily top ten posts for the week:
Ben Shapiro held 11 (10) and Dan Bongino held 7 (10). Breitbart held 04 (03), Fox 03, and Franklin Graham 02 (02). Sean Hannity (01) and David Wolfe* each had 1.
The total of is 29 out of 70 down from last week’s 34 out of 70.
Occupy Democrats held 8 spots, up from 6. The Daily Beast held 1 for a total of 9 out of 70. Last week it was 7 out of 70.

NYT BESTSELLERS HARDCOVER NON-FICTION
1. One Damn Thing After Another by Bill Barr.
It is to the mainstream media’s eternal shame that Bill Barr was given so much airtime to promote his new book and kick off his rehabilitation tour. In interview after interview he lied, he obfuscated, and he lied some more with almost no pushback from the person interviewing him. Few people did more damage to this country in general and the Department of Justice in particular than Barr and he’s getting rewarded for it. It’s grotesque.
2. Allow Me to Retort: A Black Guy’s Guide to the Constitution by Elie Mystal.
This is great news. Congratulations, Elie! This is an excellent book and Elie Mystal is an excellent human being. I recently interviewed him—you can listen here.
7. The 1619 Project, Nikole Hannah-Jones, ed. (3)
It’s very heartening that this book is holding strong. This past week the Idaho Legislature overwhelmingly passed a resolution that condemns the 1619 Project (along with critical race theory because nobody who wants to ban it from classrooms has 1) any idea what it is and 2) doesn’t seem to care that it isn’t even taught in K-12 schools) as “divisive content.” This is the kind of hateful ignorance we’re up against.

The New Abnormal with Molly Jong-Fast
The Secret Life of Cookies with Marissa Rothkopf
SUBSTACK POLITICS NEWSLETTERS
The Substack top-ten is more ideologically diverse across the right-wing spectrum but it still contains a disturbing number of serially wrong anti-democratic writers who have way too many followers than is healthy for our nation. Every single newsletter in the top ten has tens of thousands of subscribers.
This list is very stable and won’t change much from week to week.
2. The Dispatch, Jonah Goldberg, editor-in-chief
3. TK News by Matt Taibbi
5. Glenn Greenwald
6. Unreported Truths by Alex Berenson
7. Common Sense by Bari Weiss, (aka the “Substack grifter,” in the words of Press Run’s Eric Boehlert)
8. Take Control: Dr. Mercola’s Censored Library, Joseph Mercola (This snake-oil salesman is up one spot from last week again.) (09)
9. The Weekly Dish by Andrew Sullivan (08)
Thankfully, the essential Letters from an American by Heather Cox Richardson continues to dominate at number 1.
Again, here are the Glossary of Fascists and Glossary of Pseudo-Intellectual Hacks. I’m constantly updating this so if you have any suggestions you can leave them in the comments. Please note that these lists focus on figures in the media.
Bill Barr should be behind bars.
Lying piece of shit.
Thank you, Mary, for keeping us up to date.
Bill Bar should be in jail as Ken Fry says. I am glad Elie Mystal's book is number 2.
