I love Jamie Raskin! He calls it like it is with integrity. I feel the same torn feelings about Liz Cheney. I will say, I really appreciate her moral/ethical convictions about democracy.

I love Jamie Raskin. The courage and conviction he has shown, all in the context of the incredible grief of losing his son. I give Liz Cheney a whole lot of credit for what she's doing. I've never heard her asked directly how she reconciles her past voting/enabling with what she's doing now. But it takes a lot of courage to stand up for what's right in this situation and I really appreciate when people make the choice to change course. Can you imagine the threats she's probably facing in that role?

I'm also a fan of Eric Swalwell and Ted Lieu. They have no qualms about calling out nonsense.

Love it! Two worthy winners! (And I love that you spent probably half your morning counting them up, Mary!

Love Jaime Raskin, especially how he persevered after his son committed suicide. That was amazing.

Same regarding Liz. At least she has the balls to stand up to her party leadership. Let’s see how she does around politics issues when this is over

If you want to realize the extent of Jamie Raskin's heroism and dedication to duty, get a copy of the Washington Post Magazine dated December 12. Raskin is on the cover and he is incredible. It was obvious that he was throwing all his pain from his son's suicide into what he was doing during the impeachment last winter. All that grief was channeled into the most incredible job of impeachment management I can imagine. He truly is amazing. The impeachment "dodge" by the ridiculous Maga-Right "members" of Congress was ludricrous. But at least he and his colleagues have put it on the historical record, which is so important.

Yes! I watched the hearings and so many interviews. He did one with Rachel Maddow that was a tearjerker.

Wooo HOOOO! You have picked the absolute heroes of the day! Good on you! I love them both, although Raskin is from my home state and my favorite. He makes me proud to be a Marylander, and Liz Cheney has a backbone like nobody else I've ever seen (except maybe John Lewis)!

The two things these two public servants have in common is dignity and a fierce devotion to the truth. May they succeed in defending our Democracy, as fragile as it is.

Have to go 100% with Jamie Raskin. He is consistent & consistency deserves solid recognition for not selling out. Liz is taking a moment (imho) to shine like a Bush/Reagan good old fashioned, level headed GOP (with a hidden agenda). When raised in a dynasty, teethed on a dynasty, the need to continue the dynasty has no barriers. Do not be fooled. She voted with Donald 95% of the time, until Jan 6. She was silent when our military was constantly being shamed. But, daddy did earn his money the Halliburton way. Just sayin… you knew it was a snake when you let her in. Does Liz deserve honorable mention for finally stepping up? 👏👏👏👍🎉💯 but pay attention… hissssssss

Excellent choices! I have to agree with you about Cheney. She’s doing the right thing now, but that doesn’t absolve her, and Kinzinger, of voting pretty much straight party line on other legislation. Adam Schiff has also done yeoman work on this committee and the first impeachment.

Oooo, I think we should encourage Liz to keep on doing good, so I'm voting for her. As much as I love Jamie Raskin.

Representative Jamie Raskin was a Lead Impeachment manager, and he was impressive in that role for sure. He is a truth teller, extremely intelligent, down to earth, able to talk with anyone, regardless of the size of their bank account. He has integrity, and to me, he has always come across as doing his best to do the right thing for our country. He gets an A++ from me.

Liz Cheney has taken a stand for our country, and has my repect for that, although we would certainly disagree on many issues. She is an old-style republican, and is not afraid to defend what she believes in. Shame on her party for disowning her.

Jamie Raskin is the ultimate human being! I can not say how much I admire his dedication to the country in so many ways ,at the times he has been suffering the unimaginable grief of the death of his beloved son! Thanks for all you do as well,Mary!

I'm totally with you, Mary. It's also how I feel about my Rep in Illinois, Adam Kinzinger. Though he has been the voice of reason as of late (the bar is pretty low, though), he voted with Donald consistently and didn't do much of anything to get in the way of Donaldism.

Glad to see it!!! I’m blue to the marrow, but I’m glad that Liz Cheney is getting some much needed support. Our friends on the other side of the aisle need it badly. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, and conservatives like Representative Cheney have a moral compass. The January 6 insurrectionists do not. For them, power is not a tool- it is a goal, or more precisely, a trophy to put on display to cover their shortcomings, when they’re not using it to demean and belittle others.

Love the choice of Jamie Raskin. As far as Liz Cheney goes, the Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. But she has shown significant courage and leadership in this committee.
