I suspect that the journalists these days are either greedy or lazy (or both), and the owners of the news outlets are counting on tRump lowering the taxes on the ultra-rich AGAIN. Apparently you can't be too rich. The few journalists who have scruples at all seem to have left for sites in which they aren't beholden to corporate masters (like here, social media and YouTube).
Carlye, I have to disagree with you somewhat. There are some very good journalists on MSNBC - Ali Velshi, Joy Reid, Lawrence O'Donnell, and Rachel Maddow (at a minimum) who do have scruples and do good reporting. Apart from that I agree with you about the MSM. As I understand it, money is an addiction for some people, just like drugs are for others.
