How in bloody hell do people who think it's OK to legalize murder to kill people 'involved' in an abortion, have the gall to call themselves 'pro-life'? Every time I think that these nut-jobs have gotten as extreme as possible, I find I'm wrong. Sadistic fuckers.

I wrote PRO LIFE on the sign I carried at the March For Our Lives, last month. People loved it, drivers honked and waved as they passed.

Let's take it back.

This bunch is a death cult.

Since I find this to be relevant and off-topic, this shocking story was on Yahoo News:

"A North Carolina city hired a Black town manager. Then its entire police force resigned."

Thanks for this, so many great points! The Joni Mitchell clip was all around amazing. I saw it yesterday afternoon and it prompted me to listen to the entire Both Sides Now album, which I hadn't in way too long. So wonderful.

The conversation in the media around Biden running again, and whether THE SITTING VP should be the nominee if he doesn't, is unbelievable. Amen (pun intended) to your point about the permeation of religion into our politics and governance. John Fugelsang is so cogent on this subject and if I could read his twitter threads on it all day long, I would. And I hear you and others about the DOJ and the obstruction charges. But the statute of limitations hasn't run yet on all of them, including strong ones. Don't know if they'll end up bringing any of the obstruction charges for a variety of reasons (see https://www.lawfareblog.com/where-justice-department-trump-obstruction-offenses), but DOJ is going to come through surrounding the election plot and hopefully there'll be a couple Mueller obstruction charges included just for fun! Last comment - so appreciate your shout out to the new 988 mental health crisis hotline!

In my single digit years, Joni Mitchell And Carole King among other strong woman artists were always scoring the day, Thanks For The Joni Insert, Merrick Garland's Justice Department has impaneled a grand jury for the upper echelon of Trump Allies, On News This Morning, Marc Short, Mike Pence's Chief of Staff admitted to testifying to it, So It Looks Like Garland will catch up in time, Abortion is a hang man of an issue but ultimately its gonna bring women en masse to the polls in November and hopefully, Like A Tidal Wave, Knock out all Republican hopes for either Congressional House. Staffers of Congress, 165 of them wrote a letter asking Joe Biden To enact a climate emergency to release funds for climate change now that Manchin has bamboozled us again, I think this is perfect solution to acting on climate Right Now. I REMAIN THE OPTIMIST, and now changes are happening as we get closer to election. Secret Service: Have we all forgotten Oliver Stone's JFK, Absent Lee Harvey Oswald The Patsie, The Secret Service was Derelict of duty in JFK assassination! NOW SECRET SERVICE AGENTS ARE LAWYERING UP BECAUSE OF CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION INTO DELETED TEXTS, Let's Air These Fuckers Out!

Hi Mary. Thank you for helping to keep me sane. Small point -- Marcy Wheeler and the crew at Emptywheel have laid out in compelling if excrutiating detail all of the actions that Barr took while AG to make prosecutions for things noted in the Mueller report unwinnable. This is yet another instance of the malfeasance of Barr and the rest. Not a blot on the current DoJ.

Interesting that while the FRC is designated a church by the IRS, the FBI raided 5 HOPCCs (House of Prayer Christian Churches), all of which are located near military posts and designed to target the vulnerable family members of those who serve. The Fayetteville, NC HOPCC was among them and the local paper does a good job spelling out how they roll...

Thanks for this link - I read about these people a little while ago, and it seems no one else knows or cares about their existence or impact. The SBC is active in planting these fundamental evangelical-type churches intentionally near military bases so they can indoctrinate service members, and use them as self-described "govt. paid missionaries" so that when those service members are sent to other places in this country and in the world, they can 'spread the word' of their brand of christianity to others. Their stated opinion is that there is 'too much diversity' among military chaplains, and their mission is to train, endorse, and then send out these radical 'christian' chaplains out to these planted military bases to indoctrinate the staff and service members.
