It's not hyperbole to say that our nation is hanging by a thread and that you are one of only a few dozen people with the right blend of influence to prevent that thread from snapping.
Nothing screams principled man like a disgusting racist like Higgins. Nothing screams self-righteous Christian heretic like Mike Johnson. His elevation of racists like Higgins and Trump is an idolatry that makes the Golden Calf look trivial by comparison.
With all of the dumbf*ckery going on in Washington, D.C., the fact that in certain states felons do not have the right to vote BUT we have a convicted felon running for the highest office of our land, that says it all.
I agree with that\\\ I also am starting to think that the people who vote for someone who has no character or morals might be the same. They do not bother to research the person they vote for. Sad, sad, but I hope those voters will think good and not vote for who some ministers rave about from the pulpit. Thank you Mary for all you do.

If he were truly a Christian, those words would not have come close to a thought. Mike Johnson said, “I believe people are inherently bad”. With friend like his, what else could he believe.

Mike Johnson is about as religious as Genghis Khan. Yep, that he is second in line for the presidency is horrific!
On a good note: starting with the New York Times this morning, it appears the media may just be starting to stop writing about a "horse race" and start writing about the very serious threat to democracy represented by their MAGA leader, Donald Trump, his minions and especially his many corrupt elected Congressional officials.
As a footnote: in my opinion, it should be noted by all that, in addition to his being a malignant narcissist, Trump has two major, basic problems: 1.) he is ignorant, which is curable, and 2.) he is stupid, which isn't curable and seriously works against number one, his colossal ignorance.
